Calvin Smith

Business Development Executive, Jonas UK & Europe

Calvin joined Jonas as part of the UK M&A team in 2018. He is responsible for building relationships with the founders and shareholders of vertical market software companies who are interested in becoming part of the Jonas family of companies. Calvin is also focused on developing relationships with professionals working in the M&A advisory sector.   
 
Calvin grew up on the South Coast of England and has spent most of his career in Insurance, where he held several roles, focusing on increasing value for business partners and their customers. Calvin believes that the Jonas ‘buy and hold forever’ strategy, together with the opportunities that Jonas can offer to the staff of an acquired business, places Jonas in a unique position to acquire and grow great businesses.  
 
In addition to building relationships with companies in verticals where Jonas already has a presence, Calvin’s inquisitive nature means that he’s often looking for new verticals for Jonas to enter. 
 
When Calvin has time to relax, he enjoys cooking for his family and playing the guitar.
