Bedside Connect, its new web-based add-on application for the host
Hospitality Suite software system. With Bedside Connect, meal selections can be taken directly at bedside, which helps to increase staff/patient interaction and boost satisfaction scores. This bedside ordering module is the first from the “Connect” line of products that focuses on providing users the freedom to perform their work functions away from their desks by leveraging a familiar technology in the form of wireless tablets and devices.
Users may be familiar with the EasyTouch Menu Selections (EasyTouch) product thatBedside Connect tablet can be used for bedside ordering, but Bedside Connect has many additional features over EasyTouch. For example, Bedside Connect allows the user to edit a patient’s likes, dislikes and allergies while interviewing them for menu selections. Staff notes related to patient service can be entered directly into their record. If staff repeatedly visits the same groups of patients, the new add-on module can conveniently save the specific patient list for efficient and focused collection of their meal selections. Additionally, Bedside Connect users can immediately see whether a patient has ordered a meal or not directly on the patient list.

Enhancing the Bedside Connect application for more efficient use in a call center along with several other food cost management mobile applications for purchasing and inventory tracking are definitely on our product roadmap.
